Kick Off Meeting
The inaugural meeting of the METAVET project, titled “Moving towards sustainable industry engagement in VET,” was held virtually with participation from at least two representatives from each organization involved. The project beneficiary’s representative warmly welcomed the partners and introduced Formac SKA, the leading organization based in Poland. Subsequently, the three partner organizations—AECIM (Association of Entrepreneurs of the Metal Trade and Industry of Madrid), FLSPy (Fundación La Salle Paraguay), and FUOCRA (UOCRA Foundation for the education of construction workers)—gave their institutional presentations.
The coordinating partner outlined the general rules for project implementation, as well as the administrative and financial guidelines set by the European Commission. The project’s purpose and objectives were discussed, along with a comprehensive plan of activities and events scheduled over the next two years. Following the presentation, participants engaged in a discussion where they highlighted the initial agreement on the agenda and addressed potential challenges and strengths in VET training sectors linked to the industries within their respective countries.
The meeting underscored the diverse experiences and profiles of the partners, including a business association, a workers’ union foundation, and a foundation with local development and educational project expertise. This diversity is expected to enrich the project through various perspectives and contributions. It was decided to hold bilateral meetings between the partner organizations and the project coordinator in the coming weeks to address administrative matters, with the next general project meeting scheduled for April to focus on research and proposals with the methodology expert.
